PT X is a clean water company with a continuous process system in raw water treatment.&#13;
This study evaluates the existing secondary data from the pre-treatment of water at PT&#13;
X, focusing on characteristics such as dissolved oxygen, iron (Fe), ammonia (NH3)&#13;
using a continuous aeration system. The purpose of this study is to offer an alternative&#13;
aeration approach to improve the pre-treatment process in reducing contaminants in&#13;
water. This research was done on a laboratory scale, employing the batch aeration&#13;
approach as an alternative to continuous aeration. The equipment employed includes a&#13;
batch aeration reactor, a chlorination unit, and different measurement instruments for&#13;
iron, ammonia, pH, turbidity, and dissolved oxygen. Based on data from laboratory-scale&#13;
studies, the batch aeration system showed considerable improvement in pollutant&#13;
removal. Specifically, the batch system was able to increase dissolved oxygen by 97% at&#13;
an air flow rate of 4 l/min, remove 100% of iron, increase pH concentration by 13%.&#13;
However, in this experiment, the ammonia content did not vary substantially although the&#13;
turbidity concentration in the water increase by 70%. These data imply that batch aeration&#13;
&#13;
may be utilized as an alternate way to minimize pollutants in water in PT X's water pre-&#13;
treatment process.

The textile industry significantly contributes to wastewater pollution, generating&#13;
toxic effluent with dyes and organic matter. Biological treatment using activated&#13;
sludge produces waste-activated sludge (WAS), which contains moisture,&#13;
organic contaminants, heavy metals, and pathogens, posing environmental risks.&#13;
This study investigates the potential of eco-enzymes—fermented organic liquids&#13;
from organic waste—as a sustainable solution for managing WAS. It evaluated&#13;
changes in pH, mixed-liquor suspended solids (MLSS), mixed-liquor volatile&#13;
&#13;
suspended solids (MLVSS), and organic matter content after adding 10% eco-&#13;
enzymes made from orange, pineapple peel, and mixed organic matter to WAS&#13;
&#13;
from a textile wastewater treatment plant in an anaerobic system over 8 days.&#13;
Results showed that eco-enzymes significantly reduced the pH of the sludge&#13;
from 8.13 to 5.15, compared to a control that decreased to 7.45. The pineapple&#13;
&#13;
peel eco-enzyme reduced MLSS by 32% and MLVSS by 35%, while mixed-&#13;
organic matter eco-enzyme led to reductions of 29% for MLSS and 31% for&#13;
&#13;
MLVSS. The orange eco-enzyme showed the highest reduction, with decreases&#13;
of 35% for MLSS and 38% for MLVSS. However, the control sludge samples&#13;
exhibited a higher reduction in organic content (12.12%) compared to those with&#13;
eco-enzymes (5.6%). While eco-enzymes significantly lowered pH and&#13;
contributed to reductions in MLSS and MLVSS, variations in statistical&#13;
significance were noted. Pineapple peel and mixed-organic waste enzymes&#13;
showed no effect on MLSS reduction on day 4, and mixed-organic waste&#13;
&#13;
enzymes were insignificant for MLVSS reduction on day 8. Overall, eco-&#13;
enzymes effectively aided in the degradation of textile sludge, necessitating&#13;
&#13;
careful monitoring of pH levels.

The problem of domestic waste is an environmental issue that continues to grow along&#13;
with population growth and household activities. This study aims to determine the existing&#13;
condition waste management, the amount of waste generation and determine the waste&#13;
composition of domestic waste in RT 06 RW 08, Taman Wanasari Indah Housing, Cibitung&#13;
District, Bekasi Regency. The methods used include collecting primary data through direct&#13;
measurement of waste generation for 8 days and composition analysis based on organic and&#13;
inorganic classifications. The results of the study showed that the average waste generation per&#13;
person per day was 0.6 kg/person/day. The composition of the waste was dominated by organic&#13;
waste such as food scraps and leaves, with a percentage of 29.6% of the total waste. Based on these&#13;
results, it is recommended to implement community-based waste management through sorting and&#13;
composting of organic waste to reduce the volume of waste disposed of at the final disposal site&#13;
(TPA). This study is expected to be the basis for making waste management policies at the smallest&#13;
environmental level. Objectives: The objectives of this study aim to analyze the existing waste&#13;
management, the amount of waste generation and composition of domestic waste in RT 06 Rw 08,&#13;
Taman Wanasari Indah Housing Area, Cibitung District, Bekasi Regency. Method and results:&#13;
The data source in this study uses primary data collected through direct weighing of household&#13;
waste for eight consecutive days based on SNI 19-3964-1994. The Sampling using purposive&#13;
sampling. Conclusion: Waste management in RT 06 RW 08 Perumahan Taman Wanasari Indah&#13;
is still conventional without sorting from the source, which has an impact on environmental&#13;
pollution. The average waste generation reaches 0.6 kg/person/day or 1.4 liters/person/day, in&#13;
accordance with the average in residential areas. The composition of waste is dominated by organic&#13;
waste (29.6%), plastic (18.7%), and paper (17.3%), in line with the composition pattern in other&#13;
settlements.
