dc.description.abstract In Indonesia, elections are still carried out conventionally. This conventional method has several disadvantages such as slow vote-counting process, reliance on paper and ink may cause inaccuracies, there are risks of damages before and during transport, Indonesia consists of many islands means transporting the ballot paper securely is not easy. Apart from being problems-prone, conventional voting also requires more resources, in terms of money and human resources. Therefore, the author has the intention of making an Electronic Voting (e-voting) system that uses QR Code to validate votes. The result of this study is a web-based system that uses QR Code as validation mechanism for election process. The aim is to reduce weaknesses in the regional elections in Indonesia, as well as reduce the use of paper during the election. en_US
