Abstract:
Ease in remote monitoring and controlling of a system today will greatly assist
today’s people activities. In this modern world time and labor has become more and
more expensive. Something that used to be manually checked or monitored and
controlled on site/on the spot, has been considered as time consuming activity and
inefficient work. A rapid progress of technology nowadays provides a lot of
possibilities for a solution of many demands of modern people. But, in the other side
the progress in technology also requires more energy supply to power the modern
equipment. Efficiency in time and energy then become important issues of modern life.
And, automation also have an important role in creating the simplicity of the daily
activity.
This mobile application will monitor the status of each light in the room or
facility and can control for switching on or off every point of the lamp. When the mobile
application is running in the first time, the application will display the real-time status
of the lamp. This lamp will automatically turn on or turn off by the sensor in the room,
based on the movement in the room, and can be monitor through the application. Thus,
it can be concluded that, this thesis will develop a device to help people in controlling
the lights, and monitoring it through mobile application, while at the same time, the
automation feature will save energy by switching off the unused light using a sensor in
the room.
