dc.description.abstract Nowadays, technology continues to become more and more advanced and it’s already become part of our life. One of the technology advanced is a microcontroller. Microcontroller is a minicomputer present that dedicates to perform one task and execute one specific application. People can control many things using microcontroller and create Internet of Things. The securities currently become a very important issue and this is why a lot of security systems have been purpose using an important process such as recognition especially for building access controls. Face recognition is one example of process that improves the security applications for building access control. The advantage of using face recognition instead of other identification process such as iris or fingerprint identification is because it least intrusive and more secure. This thesis aims to develop smart door locking system, which allows the user to unlock the door by recognizing face from a camera and validate it using message notification. Authorized user is registered in the web admin that contains face dataset and information of the user. In the web admin, the user admin allows to manage the registered member, registered room, authorized guest and set duration time for the member. en_US
