DEVELOPMENT OF INVENTORY AND TRANSACTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR CILLE TALE FLORIST

Abstract

Stock recording in the retail business is very important to maintain the availability of goods, monitor stock movements and prevent deadstock build-up. However, the majority of florist retail businesses are still using traditional methods such as paper and excel-based record keeping to keep track of their daily inventory. Through recording their inventory activities using these traditional methods, florist owners find it difficult to be disciplined in recording incoming, outgoing or discarded items every day which causes inaccurate reports within a certain period. This project aims to create a web-based inventory management system that will help florist owners to record their inventory activities better and produce accurate reports that allow better decision making.
