INTERNNET: WEB BASED INTERN PRODUCTIVITY MONITORING TOOLS WITH LIVE CHAT FEATURE

Abstract

Due to the advancement of technologies in the recent years, it opens up many new fields in the industries. One of them is cloud platform, the emergence of cloud service providers, e.g., Amazon Web Services, Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud Platform. These cloud service providers ease the process of developing an application, this can be seen in Firebase as a product of Google. Firebase acts as a Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) that enables developers to focus more on the frontend side of an application. With the current trend of our government in embracing technology, it is proper to dive into the field of cloud computing. Implementing Firebase as a pilot product for a project such as internship management system in Data and Information Technology Centre of Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights might ignite the move for the government to fiddle with cloud computing and improve the overall state of technological stack in the institution. This final project aims to implement Firebase in a real-world scenario where it is applied in a government institution, while at the same time help the author to gain a better understanding of Cloud Computing specifically in Firebase where it focuses more on the backend side of an application. An application basically consists of frontend side where the user will interact with the application, the other is the backend side where most of the heavy work is being done. In this project, Firebase will be implemented to ease the authentication flow and to store data from the user.
