Abstract:
The Internet is accessible nowadays, people can look for what they want without any restriction. This ease is the reason that world internet consumption is high. When the covid-19 pandemic happened the internet demand was brought to a new level as people must rely more on the internet to socialize, work, study, and other things with online methods. Behind all the goodness and accessibility of the internet, there are also dangers lurking within the freedom of access that it gives. Pornography that could be easily exposed to children from the internet is one of the main concern of parents nowadays since pornography could bring so many bad effects for the children and they cannot always protect their children. Government as the one who has the higher authority has given their effort to minimize those dangers by taking down or blocking malicious websites which provide negative content that could harm children. The government act is a right decision to prevent children being exposed to the negative content, there are still some vulnerabilities in it, some naughty users can still outsmart the banned website using alternative ways such as VPN and DNS. The method proposed as the solution in this study is to by providing a simple monitoring software that not only block a website that contain bad words which not suitable for the underage children but also will give a report that will can be accessed through a website. The goals of this study are to provide a simple solution as the front-line defense for children to prevent them from accessing pornographic or other malicious content from the internet and help parents to protect their children by monitoring their internet activity. As the final result from this study, it is expected that this study could create a simple, yet impactful application can help parent to protect their children and make parents could have a little bit relieve knowing that their children are protected, and also help the government in their war against pornography and other negative contents.
