ISH: WEB-BASED INTEGRATED STUDENT HOUSING USING ASP.NET MVC

Abstract

A boarding house is a temporary residence where the person who stays in the boarding house must pay a rent fee for each month. The majority of students who come from out of town live in boarding houses during their studies at President University. However, due to limited information on boarding locations, boarding facilities, boarding photos, etc., it is difficult for students who come from out of town to find this information. Difficulties will be felt when there is a new school year or semester change, where students who come from out of town or far from campus look for boarding houses that are close to the boarding houses. Not only that, the owner of the boarding house cannot be said to be still clueless in his marketing methods. They only have capital to make a status on WhatsApp or write a letter in front of the house or in front of the boarding house where there are still empty rooms. This makes it difficult for students who come from out of town to get information about boarding houses near the President University area. This project will create a web application that can provide information on boarding houses close to the President University area, boarding services, view vacant room information, and be able to book boarding houses online. This final project uses Djikstra's algorithm to determine the route from the boarding house to the president university. Then there is also a shorting algorithm to filter prices from the cheapest to the most expensive or vice versa. The purpose of this web application is for users to find information about boarding houses that are close to campus, room availability in each boarding house, and boarding houses online. Through this web application, students whose homes are quite far from campus can obtain information and hostel services that are effective and efficient.
