dc.description.abstract |
The improper disposal of waste has become a global issue that causing major harm to the
environment. Recyglow is a smartphone app developed with gamification in mind to address
this problem. It aims to educating consumers how to properly sort and identify waste associated
to skincare, and turn waste management into a fun and rewarding activity. Users can keep track
of their recycling progress and earn points for proper recycling, which can be redeemed for
tangible and interactive rewards. This positive reinforcement fosters user engagement and
promotes ethical recycling habits. Recyglow also fosters sense of community, encouraging
group activities to maintain the environment. Recyglow is focused on reducing waste
generation by raising the public awareness and providing the necessary information for
responsible waste disposal. The development and design of Recyglow examined in this
research, along with some of its features and their implications for skincare waste management.
Recyglow combines gamification and moral recycling techniques to inspire individuals and
communities to build a more sustainable future for the environment and surrounding. |
