dc.description.abstract |
Choosing the next book to read that suits readers' needs can be overwhelming and time-
consuming as the options of book selection keep rising. The wrong decision of choosing a
book can lead to time-wasting and loss of the opportunity to find good values that other
books may have. This research proposes an android application that incorporates Optical
Character Recognition and a similar string algorithm so that users can utilize mobile phones
to search and obtain preliminary understandings of a book when choosing the next book to
read. The proposed application can be improved by utilizing Artificial Intelligence, adding a
real-time OCR feature, incorporating note-taking applications, and adding a personal
recommendation system. |
