dc.description.abstract Congestion and limited parking space are common problems in urban areas. To address this, a smart parking system offers an effective solution. This research aims to design and implement an Arduino Uno-based smart parking system with infrared (IR) sensors to automatically detect parking space availability. The system utilizes IR sensors to monitor the presence of vehicles in each parking space, and an I2C LCD to display real-time information on whether a space is empty or full. Furthermore, a servo motor is used as an automatic gate barrier that opens when a parking space becomes available. Implementation results demonstrate that the system is able to accurately detect vehicles in each space and provide parking status information with a rapid response. Using affordable and easy-to-implement hardware, this system is expected to be an effective solution for parking management in limited areas such as campuses, shopping centers, or offices. en_US
