FIN.IT: LOST AND FOUND MOBILE APPLICATION

Abstract

The rapid development of innovation, especially multi-purpose innovation, has opened up opportunities to create imaginative arrangements that are valuable for society, especially in solving the problem of lost and tracked items. This Capstone Undertaking features “FIN.IT”, a multi-purpose application intended to effectively monitor lost and found reports. The application includes several tools to assist clients in handling lost property cases, including definitive report generation, geolocation reconciliation for area tracking, visit framework, and reward highlights. The disclosure component allows clients to easily create point-by-point reports on lost or tracked items, complete with depictions and images. It also includes the use of space to provide details about where the item was lost or found, empowering other users to distinguish the item effectively. The geolocation framework empowers users to determine the last location of lost items and view reports on specific areas through the nearby actions feature. The chat system works with direct correspondence between clients, facilitating the most common way to return lost items. Additionally, reward highlights serve as reward badges awarded by the app to clients who effectively return lost items to their original owners. This Capstone project also includes client testing and audits to assess the feasibility and satisfaction of using this application. The results showed a positive reaction, showing that the app essentially works on the most common ways to return lost items, reducing the time required to track lost items, and improving client fulfillment.
