Abstract:
This research explores the creation and implementation of Cityscape
Greenery: Smart Management of Urban Forests to support urban environmental
sustainability. With increasing urbanization, the need for well-managed green spaces
has become important. Urban forests function as green lungs that absorb carbon
dioxide and provide ecosystem benefits such as reducing air pollution, controlling
temperature, and improving quality of life. This research analyzes challenges in urban
forest management, such as limited land and community participation. To overcome
this, a smart technology approach using IoT sensors is proposed.
Case studies were conducted in several large cities in Indonesia, with IoT
sensors placed at strategic points to monitor environmental conditions in real-time.
The research results show that smart technology increases the efficiency and
effectiveness of urban forest management. More accurate data and rapid analysis
enable more timely and evidence-based decision making, and increase community
engagement.
This research concludes that Cityscape Greenery: Smart Management of Urban
Forests has great potential to be applied in various cities in Indonesia. With smarter
and participatory management, urban forests can contribute more to environmental
sustainability and the welfare of urban communities. This research provides practical
solutions for better urban forest management and paves the way for green technology
innovation and urban sustainability.
