WEB-BASED INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR PHARMACY BUSINESS IN PT YAGYA DASA SUJATI

Abstract

PT Yagya Dasa Sujati (YDS) is a company engaged in the healthcare industry. Under its pharmacy store, Yagya Dasa Farma, they keep track of drugs or medicines of the store. Properly managing inventory is essential to the success of every business. In every inventory management, the process is certainly not separated from the data processing, that is also the case for PT. YDS. In this company one of the services to consumers who felt to be repaired is the process of distributing the data distribution medicines. So far, the processing of the distribution data of drugs in PT. YDS is still done manually, although it already uses computer tools in conducting data processing, but it is only limited using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word so that data processing process is still felt less effective and efficient. One example is when the customer will make a booking of the drug then the they must come directly to the company to buy the necessary medicines. The problem in PT. YDS especially in handling the drug supply transactions is the recording of the inventory transactions are still done manually and the preparation of reports is only recorded on paper and not arranged neatly. To overcome these problems need to be developed aids in processing data that has high flexibility to obtain information on drug data, information on customer data, supplier data information, ordering through WhatsApp and transactions information quickly, precisely and accurately. After analyzing, designing, and implementing, conclusions can be drawn from the development of a web-based inventory management system application for the pharmaceutical business at PT Yagya Dasa Sujati, as this application can be used by the owner of PT Yagya Dasa Sujati in marketing their products directly to customers. So that customers no longer need to come to the store.
