dc.description.abstract Safety and easiness are the most important points in parking process. The effort to realize these points is by implement automatic parking gate that automatically open when detect a plate number and record that plate number using Computer Vision and use Optical Character Recognition to clarify the plate number information. The recorded plate number will be used later when the vehicle wants to go out. Automatic parking gate system is a system that record and recognize plate number using image recognition by finding the correct contour on the image. The combination will be extract using Optical Character Recognition from processed image before. After that the program will simulate the automatic parking gate by display the image of the parking gate and change the state from close state into open state, then saved the extraction result into the database. This method will make the driver easier to do the parking process without button system nor paper ticketing system. en_US
