WEB-BASED FOR ONLINE MOTORCYCLE DEALING SYSTEM

Abstract

Motorcycles are important needs of transportation for Indonesia. People use it on daily basis to go to work, school, and also transporting goods. This can be seen from the high rate of ownership of motorcycles. The number of motorcycles in Indonesia has reached 100 million units in 2016 based on data from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). This data shows the high interest in buying motorcycles in Indonesia. Indonesia’s high interest in owning motorcycles means many people have to resort to loans. This is turns cause an increase in fraud incidents because people are falsifying the documents. Increasing fraud incidents by falsifying identities and documents is planned by people who do not fulfill the requirements but willing to have advantages by asking loans to leasing company, it is very clear that both leasing company and customers will be materially harmed. Because of those problems, this thesis will discuss the system that can facilitate customers, leasing company, and dealers in online transaction to make sure that all the submitted documents are valid. Beside of the possible fraud, also the long process that should be endure by customer that should come to the showroom, waiting for the list, and follow the series of process that are inefficient, so that the customer will waste their time by doing those activities that make the customers miss other activities that are more productive. By developing this online system, customers can avoid time-wasting activities and the possibility of fraud can be avoided as much as possible.
