WEB-BASED ACCREDITATION INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR UNIVERSITY

Abstract

Accreditation in Indonesia is mandatory for all higher education institutions, and so it becomes vital to reserve resources for the administrative requirements for accreditation, especially the borang. The borang is a form that must be completed as part of the accreditation process, and it is quite time-consuming. In this thesis I will discuss the development of a Web-based Accreditation Information System for universities, especially to manage the borang, in compliance with Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT) standards. The purpose of the system is to allow its users to save time and work on the borang in the system, as well as support users in collaborating and planning through its other features. The features of this application allow the user to: fill in the borang forms and save it on the system; add, edit, delete events on the calendar; send and receive message between users; view the audit trail; configure values of scoring weights. In addition, administrator user roles can also add, edit, and delete users, whereas the Reviewer user roles can fill in the target score, fill in the score simulation, and comment on the borang. With the development of the application, the initial objectives were concluded to be resolved, and the borang successfully implemented.
