DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CHATBOT FOR STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM USING MULTILAYER PERCEPTRON NEURAL NETWORK ALGORITHM

Abstract

Nowadays human cannot be separates from technology because it has played a great role in human lives. With the development of technology, many things could be easier to do. One of technology that can make human lives easier is a chatbot. Chatbot is a digital assistant to help human in doing tasks easier. Chatbot usually used in business industries to improve their customer service or in service industries as a helper chatbot. The core technology of chatbot is natural language processing or NLP. Natural language processing is a field in artificial intelligence that teach a computer to understand, analyze, manipulate, and generate human language. There are so many algorithm to do a NLP, like support vector machines, Bayesian networks, maximum entropy, artificial neural network, etc. This thesis provides the design and implementation of a helper chatbot for student to help them in getting information about the college easier. This chatbot will use multilayer perceptron neural network algorithm for its natural language processing. This chatbot will provide student‟s information like GPA, schedule, enrollment, organization, event, and financial information.
