Indonesia has the fourth largest population in the world. As the population
grows, garbage generation is also increased rapidly. One of the main concerns is
garbage management system. Bad garbage management can cause various serious
impacts on human health and also surrounding environment.
This research is aimed to keep the environment clean and healthy. The idea is
to give a real-time indicator of garbage level and also the location of garbage can to
the user. Therefore, garbage management could be more efficient. This research will
be developed by using Android and Arduino. Arduino is used to collect data of
garbage level in the garbage can and also the location of garbage can. The Android
application is used to represent the data of garbage can to the user visually, warn the
user if the garbage can is full, and give the direction from user’s current location to
the garbage can. Hence, this research will optimize garbage management, garbage
collection schedule and the process of garbage monitoring will be done efficiently. |
