dc.description.abstract Today, we can reserve seats in restorant online, ordering food can be done by using smartphone, and we can renew passport online. That is just a few of the proves that many things in life are changed with the help of technology. One of things that technology changes is attendance system. Currently, the mostly used attendace system is the one using paper. And the more advanced attendace system is using cards as identity that needs to be tapped as a prove that the owner is indeed present that day. Both of them are wasting resources. From the time that needed for users need to use for proving they are present, to the waste of papers. Since humanity are rapidly trying to improve the efficiency in all aspecs of their life, the current attendance system will be replaced with the new and efficient system. Face Recognition Based Attendace System will be the one that will make its users waste less resources. Not only this system does not need most of its user doing things, it also uses less natural resources. This way, it will make its users have more time to spend to do other things, and it is also more nature-friendly than before. This system used Histogram of Oriented Gradient for face detection, One Millisecond Face Alignment with an Ensemble of Regression Trees Face Landmark Estimation for posing and projecting faces, and Deep Metric Learning for face encodi ngs which will be used for face recognition. en_US
