dc.description.abstract |
The lateness finish testing in Quality Testing Laboratory is the main problem in this research. The percentage of lateness in every month is relatively high in the current condition. The lateness is causing for the actual lead time testing is longer than the estimation. The purpose of it is to make the production can do well because the customers of lab need the result of quality evaluation for all the sample that submitted by them whether to produce the sample in mass production or develop the new method or material. The improvement starts from determine the sequencing method of testing in lab become first come first served system. Then, calculate the standard time for all the groups of products and parts in every testing. The standard time is used for calculate the daily capacity for making the flexible scheduling. The flexible scheduling in lab is implemented by either hiring the additional workforce from other available department, planning the worker overtime, or delay the next sample submission. Those improvements have been applied in lab and on the first two months the lateness finish testing become 6% from 47% of lateness in the current condition and the lateness is reduced by 41%. |
