THE STUDENT’S SATISFACTION ABOUT THE DORMITORY BY USING MULTIPLE LINEAR REGRESSIONS

Abstract

Dormitory is the second home for the student’s life. It is far away from their family, the dormitory life is the new experience to the student, it also affect the university’s development. The student’s satisfaction will influence the other new students’ choices. This research will discuss the student’s satisfaction about the dormitory from six aspects: facilities and infrastructure, fee, service, environment, maintaining, and regulations. And the research uses the quantitative analysis, six factors are considered as the independent variables, and the student’s satisfaction is considered as the dependent variable. By analyzing the relation between the six independent variables and dependent variable, the R value is 0.766, which shows there is a stronger relationship between the six factors with the student’s satisfaction; then multiple linear regressions shows facilities and infrastructure with 1.712 as the most significance factor that influences the student’s satisfaction.
