MOBILE APPLICATION TO DISCOVER VET AND PET SHOP NEAREST

Abstract

Vet or Pet Shop is a business that runs in the animal's field. They sell any kind of animal’s supplies such as the animal’s accessories, animal’s foods and treats, animal’s cages, etc. Some Vets and Pet Shops also have an animal that is ready to be adopted. Other services they offer are grooming centers and daycare for pets, also a doctor specializing in animal’s case. Vet and pet shops are one of the important things for the pets’ owner. During this pandemic period that still happened in Indonesia, every information would be shared through social media and the internet. Due to the lack of media promotion from most vet and pet shops, they often are unreachable and hard to find. This also could be difficult for the pets’ owner to find the information about vet and pet shops' existence and the places nearest to their location. Therefore, an application is designed and developed to make the users find vet and pet shops nearest to their current location with ease as the solution for the problem stated above. This application is based on the mobile application and will be used as the search engine for the specific place which is vet and pet shops nearest for the users. The condition of the pandemic era also supports the development of an application for finding vet and pet shops nearby. The application also provides some features such as detailed information about Vet and Pet Shops including their location that can be shown with maps and the contact number. In this final project, the range location area of Vet and Pet Shop is based on Surakarta City but in future work this application would also be developed to be around the Indonesia range area.
