dc.description.abstract |
In the current era, the market is developing rapidly. The continuous and rapid
growth on the market leads to the increasing demand of professionalism on the
performance of the business. A manufacturing company which engages in the
printing and packaging industry often failed to carry out a great production
performance as its OEE often fail to reach the minimum target of 85%. The
company tried to improve the OEE using TPM. During the observation, the team
found some improvements can be made to the TPM pillars of autonomous
maintenance, planned maintenance, developed management, and education and
training. The project was then carried out with the objectives to know the current
implementation of TPM, to improve the implementation of TPM using six big
losses, PDCA cycle, Gemba, 5S, and RACI Matrix, and to know the escalation of
OEE percentage with the implementation of TPM. In this project, the OEE was
successfully increased by 12% from the average of 70% to 82%. This might happen
because of the new standardized machine setup duration and new machine spare
parts which increased the availability rate. |
