dc.description.abstract PT. PI is a subsidiary of PT. PAC, where PT. PI is more focused on machinery which is more on the production of services where they process arm comp decomp products. At PT.PI often found the occurrence of waste when the production of Arm Comp Decomp is running. In June 2021 four types of waste appear during production, the four wastes are transportation, motion, defect, and waiting. The emergence of waste causes problems that affect the company's profitability. To overcome this problem, improvements were made by implementing value stream mapping, especially the 6 stages developed by Datenbank namely (1) draw current stream mapping, (2) identify waste, (3) develop solutions using line balancing and set-up time, (4) develop a future stream mapping, (5) implement solution and (6) measure the results. By reducing the operator who is used as an assistant, the company can reduce the cycle time by 28 seconds or 23% of the total cycle time and reduce the lead time from 8.0425 days to 6.322 days or 21% of the total lead time. Based on the general conversion fee of Rp 5,177,430,756 every year, it is estimated that the company can reduce conversion costs by Rp 1,190,809,074 per year. en_US
