dc.description.abstract Motivated by the need for sustainable power system and geographical suitability of the location considered, a solar photovoltaic system with flat plate reflectors configured to the model's left and right sides is conceptually design and analysed. This thesis looks into enhancing solar PV system performance by utilizing flat plated reflectors to increase solar irradiation on PV surface. Theoretical analysis during 17th of January 2022, 21st March 2022 (March equinox), 21st June 2022 (June solstice), 23rd September 2022 (September equinox), and 21t December 2022 (December solstice) is carried out as a baseline. It was surface by 4.76% when compared to not tilting the PV module (perpendicular to the ground). It was also identified that glass mirror reflectors tilted at 15 symmetrically with respect to the solar panel have been shown to deliver best performance. When utilizing glass mirror reflectors tilted at 15, the total annual irradiation on PV surface is 3.71 MW/m2/year, which is a 12.42% increase in solar irradiation availability when compared to not utilizing reflectors. en_US
