dc.description.abstract This thesis discusses the design of a rubber separator with steel wire use pneumatic power to recycle scrap belts. In this design using pneumatic power as a driver. Pneumatic are chosen because they are cheaper, simpler, and cleaner. This design aims to accelerate doing scrap steel belt recoup so that rubber can be recycled again. Rubber separator with steel wire is needed to accelerate the disposal of scarp material and recycle the compound. Rubber separator with steel wire uses pneumatic power and is made manually to facilitate the operator when operating the tool. In this design an analysis of the forces that occur and calculating the strength of the construction is carried out. From the results of analysis and calculations with safety factors (safety factors) shows that the tool is safe to use. So that the tool can be said to be safe against the forces that work. The operator simply shifts the pneumatic hand valve on cylinders A and B to separate the rubber and rubber from the steel wire. en_US
