DEVELOPMENT OF A WEB-BASED INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR CHURCHES IN THE DIGITALIZATION ERA (CASE STUDY AT BNKP CIKARANG CHRISTIAN CHURCH)

Abstract

BNKP Cikarang Christian Church is a church that stands based on the division of locations in several places in Indonesia. This church is one of the Nias tribal churches and uses Nias language as their main language in worship. However, on this occasion the author will develop research at the BNKP Cikarang Christian Church, namely by making the Development of a Web-Based Information System in the Digitalization Era. The creation of this website is done so that the services and information that are disseminated are efficient, considering that this is the era of digitalization. The development of this church information system was made based on the needs of the BNKP Cikarang Christian Church such as information management, congregational data management, management of worship activities, and management of church administration. In addition, the management is designed in the form of a website that is programmed using the PHP programming language, MySQL, CodeIgniter, Bootstrap and so on. Furthermore, the research results from the development of this web-based information system indicate that all components of the features that have been made can run well. Thus, it is expected that the development of this system can streamline the dissemination of information and the work of church servants.
