| dc.description.abstract | The development of Information Technology, which has spread to almost all sectors of life, is marked by the emergence of start-up companies. This is also followed by the increasing number of misuse of information and data management in various aspects of each individual's life. The number of Cyber Crime Cases that result in the victim's personal data being stolen and misused does not get a clear solution, because the existing rules do not comprehensively regulate sanction criminal acts of cybercrime for the misuse of the victim's personal data. This study aims to examine the provisions of laws and regulations that can be used to ensnare hackers that lead to the theft and misuse of victims personal data by conducting legal interpretations of the personal data itself in Act Number 27 of 2022 concerning personal data protection. Therefore this study, the author is interested in finding the legal protection aspect in the misuse of personal data. In this study using normative legal research methods. The data source comes from secondary data in the form of primary legal materials and secondary legal materials.
