In a company, manual management of customer data and documentation has a very
high risk of error. Especially for the ordering process from customers received by the
marketing department at CV. Govin Teknik Mandiri which is engaged in the field of
Sheet Metal manufacturing services. Currently, the system running in the company is
still manual so it is considered less organized and efficient, so it can hinder work. To
help the ordering process from customers run efficiently, it requires an information
system that can control and monitor the process.
Based on these needs, it was decided to create a Desktop-based Customer Order
Information System, which was designed using the Waterfall Development Model
method, then for application development using the VB.Net programming language
with a MySQL database, and Crystal Report for report creation.
The purpose of this system is to facilitate the creation of price offers, recording
material storage and controlling the production process, and ensuring that the
goods/items ordered have been processed according to the amount ordered. Another
benefit obtained is the integration of several departments, namely the marketing,
warehouse and production departments. |
