Many companies currently struggle with the absence of an organized visitor
management system, a challenge that often goes unnoticed in the context of
organizational knowledge. This lack of a dedicated system leads to various issues
impacting both security and operational performance, although these issues are not
explicitly identified at this point. The lack of awareness exacerbates the problem, as
organizations may not fully comprehend the potential threats to the visitor experience.
Security personnel are often tasked with dual responsibilities, making them susceptible to
lapses in either security duties or visitor management.
For example, visitors may observe security staff preoccupied with manual log-ins,
thereby compromising their primary role of ensuring safety. Additionally, ineffective
check-in procedures, difficulties in tracking and integrating office traffic, poor resource
allocation, unmanaged access, and operational inefficiencies are unspoken or overlooked
issues that have yet to be addressed within the organizational structure. Tackling these
problems and understanding their impact on visitor experience and overall performance is
crucial for developing an effective solution. |
