Abstract

Indonesia, as an agricultural nation, is known as one of the biggest producers and exporters of resources in the world. It is important for Indonesia to pay close attention to all aspects of agriculture, including the actors, farmers, and the entire distribution system in this field. However, based on facts in the field, there are still issues regarding the monopoly market by middlemen and the long-chain distribution system to the market. All of these have become concerns that have caught attention. "HavMate (Harvest Mate): Breaking the Boundary for Farmers to The Market" is the capstone project that has emerged with the intention of solving this problem. The utilization of technology to bring the market to the platform is initiated as a bridge to bring farmers directly to the customer. The inclusion of machine learning as a feature for the recommendation system in this platform aims to enhance the user experience in transactions.
