dc.description.abstract This research is about the improvement in spinning area process of PT. APF to improve the impropriety in current process condition in all lines. Increasing worker’s utilization and reducing cost is the focus of this research which ulitimately improve production efficiency. The objectives of this research is to analyze the ideal number of operators in handling spinning machine in Fibre Department. The author saw many idle time of the operators in process. Direct observation is conducted by using time and motion study to measure the operator’s movement and the time idealy needed. By using efficiency method, this research can recommend on how to increase company’s profit. The identified problems will be converted into to determine the frame work to help solving the main problem. One of the best way to increase profit is increasing the worker’s utilization by reduce redundant operators. The propose new condition is helping the company to increase the worker’s utilization about 29% and reduce idle time also about 29%. en_US
