Nowadays, construction has been growing rapidly. Road, building and other facilities constructions are built to fulfill the company or the public purposes. Therefore construction companies are striving with resources they have to give the best performance. The resources are workers, money, machines, and tools. PT. X is a construction company engaged by a manufacturing company named PT. Y that produces automobile. PT. X signs a contract with PT. Y to build and refurbish canteen area, which includes interior of canteen building, an outdoor area, and furniture in PT. Y located in Bekasi, West Java. Canteen area is located inside manufacturing area in PT. Y. PT. X begins the construction from the interior of canteen building which is the main project, then continue to build the outdoor area, and last is to build the furniture. Project schedule has to managed well by implement Critical Path Method and Program Evaluation and Review Technique. By using those two methods in the project scheduling, the result shows the duration time for interior construction is decreased by 49%, besides that the duration time for exterior construction is decreased by 15,8%. Then for furniture and mechanical engineering 57%. Total decrement for total project duration time is 45%. Through this thesis, a project scheduling can be minimized effectively with Critical Path Method and Program Evaluation and Review Technique. |
