Noodles are a highly favored food, especially in Indonesia. The market for this food
is also one of the strongest. Nowadays, many people see spicy noodle restaurants not
only as a place to eat but also as a challenge for recreation. Triggered by changes in
lifestyle and public interest, the noodle food industry is thriving. The rise of
restaurants offering various noodle variations, such as spicy noodles in Indonesia
during the pandemic, has led to rapid growth in the noodle industry. With this
opportunity, the author, based on the strong noodle market, trends, and industry
developments, has crafted this business plan, focusing on one of the most densely
populated cities in Indonesia, Jakarta, to facilitate market expansion and reach more
people. This designed business is named Mie Gusta, which has a similar accent and
resemblance to the phrase "me gusta," meaning "I like." Mie Gusta itself signifies
"favorite noodles" and reflects that Mie Gusta will provide the best service and the
best spicy noodle dishes to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.Mie Gusta
targets the millennial and Z generations, who tend to be easily motivated by
challenges and enjoy spending time with family and friends. Embracing an eco-
friendly, friendly, and modern concept, Mie Gusta provides a venue for those looking
to fulfill their lifestyle needs through a hangout space and various spicy noodle
options. Mie Gusta also expands its market reach by collaborating with several apps
such as GrabFood, GoFood, and ShopeeFood for selling products and receiving
orders online. Like other businesses, Mie Gusta also faces risks such as the
abundance of similar businesses that are more innovative, fluctuations in noodle
production and consumption in Indonesia, and drastic trend changes. Nevertheless,
Mie Gusta aims to achieve a profit increase of 5-15% each quarter for the next five
years. Mie Gusta will continue to provide good products and services to all customers
to grow and create opportunities to achieve more than expected. The cost of goods
sold for noodles is 30 percent of net sales, with an asset depreciation rate of 10
percent per year. Mie Gusta is expected to reach a payback period by the fourth year
and accumulate a fifth-year NPV of IDR 209,494,007, with a return on assets ratio
of 27 percent and a return on sales ratio of 31 percent for that year. |
