dc.description.abstract Water demineralization plant holds an important role for the production process in PT. X, Indonesia. It produces pure water (H2O) and the pure water will be used as a basic ingredient for all production processes. However, the current control system is ineffective to control the production cycle and maintain the state of the instruments. Therefore, this final project proposes a new control system to improve and optimize the performance of every cycle in the water demineralization plant. The proposed control system will be optimized in regulating and monitoring the system, which consists of actuators and measuring instruments through a human machine interface (HMI). Furthermore, it is capable to indicate the condition of the instruments whether they are functioning properly. A simulation software is developed to test and present illustrations of the proposed new control system. en_US
