THE FACTORS THAT AFFECT INDONESIA’S COAL EXPORT TO CHINA (A CASE STUDY OF PT. TANITO COAL GROUP)

Abstract

Coal mining has had many developments in the past few years. And the coal international business has also had so many increase resent years. We can see that there are so many Chinese coal mining players come to Indonesia to seek the opportunities. At the same time, because of the needs of economy development in Indonesia, Indonesia also welcomes the investors to come to this country to make the investment. The main objective of this research is to find out what are the factors that affect Indonesia’s coal export to China, the researcher use quantitative method with factor analysis to find out the factors that affect Indonesia’s coal export to China. And this research is using the quantitative research with primary data, which is questionnaire that tested by pilot test. And the respondents of this study are the Chinese customers of PT. TANITO COAL GROUP. Through this research, researcher had found out that all of the variables, which are Price, Transportation cost, Economic Condition and Environment have influence for the coal export from Indonesia to China. And based on the research and data process, economic condition is the most influencing factor for the coal export from Indonesia to China.
