This research studies the impact of imported batik toward batik cap and print produced in period of 2007 – 2010. The objective of the study is to find out the significance relationship between volume of imported batik and batik cap and print amount produced in Perusahaan Batik Bengawan Indah.
Indonesia, as a batik producer faces a difficulties when imported batik from China comes to Indonesia’s market. This study is conducted to see the significance between amount of batik produced and the volume of imported batik. The significance of the study is to contribute additional information in management study, especially on International Trade subject in the study case of imported goods volume and its impact. And also to give more information for the batik producers about the impact of import and their production volume. This study specifies the relation between volume batik imported from China and the amount of batik cap and print produced by Perusahaan Batik Bengawan Indah. The data collected from Disperindag (Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan) Kota Surakarta and from Perusahaan Batik Bengawan Indah, the data are assumed to be free from anomalies. The data used is from January 2007 until April 2010. This research studies the above topic only in one company. Thus this study cannot be generalized and cannot be applied in every condition.
This study uses quantitative research. In this research, secondary data is used. This research is analyzed using multiple regression analysis.
The analysis proved that volume of imported batik has negative significant influence toward amount of batik print produced. The analysis also proved that volume of imported batik has negative insignificant influence toward amount of batik cap produced in Perusahaan Batik Bengawan Indah.
From this thesis, some points recommended are: improve the quality and capacity of the human capital, be more innovative, maintain the good quality and improve the brand image. |
