In today’s highly competitive environment, an effective supplier selection process is very important to the success of any manufacturing organization. In this context, supplier selection represents one of the most important functions to be performed by the purchasing department. PT. WLM is a new automotive company that seeks to improve the quality of its products. One thing to be achieved is to have a good supplier. The company has problems in supplier selection systems and only have one criterion, namely price. Because it has a system that is not right, the company gets suppliers that have not met the requirements. The goods shipped are of poor quality. To solve the problem, this study proposed the topsis method. The purpose of this research is to be able to design supplier selection systems using the TOPSIS method. In this method, the first step is weighted for criteria using the Entropy method. There are 4 criteria selected in weighting, price, weight, durability, and design attractiveness. Then, select the supplier with the TOPSIS method. There are 3 suppliers that will be analyzed based on predetermined criteria. After doing the analysis, get the results of 1 supplier, namely PT. Sumi Rubber Indonesia (Dunlop) which has the highest value 0,605653501. An implication derived from this study is from the good process of selecting supplier will obtain a good supplier. As a conclusion, the supplier selection system can be done using the TOPSIS method to obtain good results. |
