dc.description.abstract PT. MSM is gold mining company that located in North Sulawesi. To increase the gold production, PT. MSM plans to do an expansion for the production area and add new machine to support the production activity. This expansion gives some impact to the other department in the plant site area, one of the departments that get the impact is supply department. The expansion of production area will close the in-out access for supplier to warehouse and staff to supply department area. This study aims to redesign the warehouse area and create a new access to supply department area. The result of this study is a new warehouse layout that can accommodate 30% more goods than the current layout and the new access for supplier and staff to warehouse and supply department. The goods in the new warehouse allocated based on the principle of popularity items. The result of the new warehouse increases the total movement of goods from 1,574,760 m increase to 2,470,931 m. The total movement increase because of the total area is larger than the current layout that caused the exit door become more distant compare to the current layout. en_US
