ASSESSING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING BY CONSIDERING ENVIRONMENT, ECONOMIC AND SOCIETY ASPECTS IN PT. RMT

Abstract

Europe, Asia, USA, and South America are pursuing green manufacturing in order to enable the future generations experience the greatness of Earth’s environment and natural resources. As one of the biggest automotive Industry, PT.RMT also used a lot of metal, plastic and any other resources as the main material. PT. RMT also wants to reduce the environmental impact as close as zero as possible. PT. RMT generated sustainability report performance once a year. However, there is no standard in the report to compare what has been done by PT. RMT is appropriate with international or government regulations. This research is assessing the sustainability performance in PT. RMT by considering three important criteria which are the environment, economic and society with the standard from government and even international. The main purpose of this research is to know the awareness of PT. RMT to the environment, economy and society. The research will use Fuzzy AHP method to know what are the preference criteria and subcriteria for the company. Based on the assessment that has been conducted, most of the sub-criteria and indicators already passed the standard, except green area, utilization of manual labor, line production stop cause by the supplier, cost of electricity, equal opportunity, male to female ratios and employee turnover indicators.
