In the era of global competition, many manufacturing industries are challenged to produce good products concerning on quality and competitive prices. Therefore, the company must continue to strive increasing productivity. At PT. DY as manufacturing company who use plastic extrusion blow molding there are 620.948 pcs product do not fulfil the target (1.535.670 pcs) of production and 100,667 kg (regrind material) of the defect during January – July 2018. The most productivity problem is overweight problem with 232.910 pieces and there no standardization of cycle time and impact with no fulfill output target. However, there are there parameter setting machine that use in this experiment are Blowing Time (10s – 12s), Melting Temperature (150 °C – 170°C), and Number of regrind material (%) (65% - 95%)). By using RSM method, the result of response optimizer are Blowing Time set on 11.030s, Melting Temperature set on 159.70°C or become 160°C, and Regrind material set on 79.85 % or become 80% with result is 93.25% the model fit the data. By this experiment can increase productivity and quality up to 16.67% and saving cost for material and electricity Rp 1,832,388 or up to 24% from initial cost. |
