dc.description.abstract Water physical condition in Tilapia Fishpond is a determining factor in the growth and development of tilapia. Parameters of water physical condition are pH (Power of Hydrogen), ammonia (NH3), and water temperature. The main objective of this project is to make a tool that can monitor water physical condition (ammonia, power of hydrogen, and water temperature) in tilapia fishpond and sent alerts (text message) of ammonia and water temperature to mobile phone if the ammonia and water temperature exceed the threshold value. The threshold value for ammonia is more than 2 mg/L and for water temperature is more than 32℃. The sensors that used for this project are MQ-135 (ammonia sensor), SEN0161 (power of hydrogen sensor), and DS18B20 (water temperature sensor). Module GSM SIM 800L V2 is part of tool used for sending text message. The data collections in this project use observation, research library, implementation of prototype, and documentation. The method used in this project is a comparative. The output of the prototype tool was tested by comparing with HI715 Ammonia Checker (accuracy tool for ammonia) and MEDIATECH Water Quality Tester (accuracy tool for water temperature and power of hydrogen). Based on the results of testing the tool 5 times in Tilapia Fishponds (Tambak Gumilang located in Penajam Paser Utara, Kalimantan Timur), the prototype read the ammonia, pH, and water temperature properly. The errors of ammonia measurement are in acceptable error which are 0.03 mg/L in Tilapia Fishpond A and 0.04 mg/L in Tilapia Fishpond B. The errors of pH measurement are in acceptable error which are 0.16 pH in Tilapia Fishpond A and 0.37 pH in Tilapia Fishpond B. For the errors of water temperature are also in acceptable error which are 0.62℃ in Tilapia Fishpond A and 0.36℃ in Tilapia Fishpond B. The prototype tool can send a text message as alert to a mobile phone if the value exceeds the threshold value. en_US
