GRADUATION AUTOMATED CLEARANCE FORM IN PRESIDENT UNIVERSITY USING RFID (PU GACS)

Abstract

Today's human life really needs speed, accuracy and a simple way to do things. The conventional way was very possible for fraud, and certainly, it a very ineffective and time-consuming process. Therefore, technological development is very likely to occur in the future. The reduction of conventional methods will help everyone to do something in a more effective and efficient way. In President University, the students will be able to do the graduation after finished the several steps in graduation clearance form. The graduation clearance form should be filled in order based on the annual regulation that can change every year, which means that every student must finish the first step then they can do the second step. To checklist the graduation clearance form, the students should come to the related department to check whether the step already is done or not. If the steps are in the finance department, the student should come to the finance department to checklist their clearance form. The related department checks the student activity with a manual process. With this concern, the graduation clearance form needed to improve the system. This thesis will discuss the application for the graduation clearance form automation system at President University. The system will solve problems for graduation clearance form such as the difficulty in finding student data manually, taking so much time to wait, and the possibility of losing the data. To overcome this problem, this application will read the student ID card to show the student data and also the activities of graduation clearance form that already done and have to be done. The student data will be saved in the database that can be accessed by using the student ID card. To check the steps, the students need to tap the ID card or fill the student ID and password, then they can check it through the phone application. For the related department, to check the student clearance form, they can tap the student ID card, then the system will show the graduation clearance form of students that can checklist the steps in order.
