ANDROID-BASED PERSONAL SECURITY APPLICATION FOR SOCIETY IN INDONESIA NATIONAL POLICE (I-SAFE)

Abstract

As one of the institutions in Indonesia, one of the police department responsibilities is to deal with crime. The crime rate in Indonesia is increasing year by year. In order to solve this problem, the police should do extra work to keep the victim not experiences the worst scenario and arrive on time at the crime location. Sometimes, the worst scenario happens where the victim got a serious impact since police probably arrive late to the crime location. In order to solve this, society should contribute together with the police to reduce the growth of the crime rate. This thesis will discuss the development of an application that focuses on security solutions at a public place in compliance with Indonesia's government regulation. The application helps the victim to ask help to the nearest users as soon as possible and implements augmented reality, natural language processing, and geolocation technology. It also helps the victim to checks their case status update and society to check criminal history in a certain location to avoid crime probability. It also allows police to update or input crime data.
