dc.description.abstract Thesis is a document submitted to pursue an academic degree presenting a research to acquire acknowledgement that the student has expertise in their taken field of study. The process in writing a thesis is admitted having done with difficulty and struggles by students, while they also have to take care on all other thesis-related activities from at the beginning. To support their students, the faculty has prepared thesis committee to assist and give advice to make sure that the students can graduate on the right time. However, it is definite that the committees are outnumbered by the students since the committees has the duty to approve or reject proposed thesis, manage the defense, and give scoring to the students. Besides, there are many paper waste occurred in the process of doing thesis. A management system to manage thesis and defense process is one of the answers for those problems. Usually, students doing their thesis are using laptop as their device. So, a web-based application will be the most efficient platform to be applied in the process. This kind of application will not only help the students, but also the administrator and lecturer. Having to use an online application, managing thesis topics and advisors, defense schedule, and documents validation will reduce time-waste that might lead to late-defense, unnecessary communication, and confusion from either the students or the thesis committees themselves. en_US
