COMBINING AUTHENTICATION AND VERIFICATION METHODS FOR A SECURE E-VOTING SYSTEM

Abstract

The General Election in Indonesia are held once every 5 years, during the General Election there are some problem that happened example, the participant that is outside Indonesia has to do the election before it is held in Indonesia, there is also a problem that happened in and outside of Indonesia during this General Election day which is the places that is provided by the committee is very crowded causing the participant to wait there for hours. The next problem is some people belief that there is a foul-play in the voting system. And to solve this problem a web-based E-voting application will be developed. This web-based E-voting application will have a very secure system to eliminate beliefs about the existences of foul-play that happens in the General Election. To log in the user must go through several steps to verify the authenticity of that user. This authenticity verification will be the focus of this application development. After the user has verified the authenticity of him/her-self he/she can vote
