dc.description.abstract |
In this modern world, car is one of the most common road vehicles. Many people love to drive cars for traveling from place to place. It estimated that over 1 billion passenger cars travel the street and roads of the world today. As the number of cars keep growing every year, the chances of breaking the traffic rules and getting into car accidents become higher as well. The majority of car accidents and traffic violations are the result from driver errors such as lack of sleep and concentration while driving. Therefore, to reduce these kinds of problems, this work proposes an Android-based application that can keep drivers and passengers safe by monitoring the drowsiness and the car speed. This application can detect the drivers if they feel sleepy and will alert them with alarms. It will also measure the car speed to prevent the driver from over speeding. |
