Many people these days do littering wherever they want and that is causing trash production. Every country experience the same problem because of those people. The trash production comes from people that use food products and other essential products. The trash that they throw is not just plastic bottles, sometimes they filled it in with another food waste inside the plastic bottles which make it even dirtier.
Those trash production comes from many country and contaminate the water and the air. The contamination caused by trash results in problems like respiratory diseases and killing the water ecosystem. People are littering because of their habits of not want to get their hands dirty. They don’t want to throw trash properly because it makes them have to touch the lid of the trash bin which is dirty.
I have designed a system that can encourage people to not littering. The automatic trash bin is a perfect solution for those people who don’t want to get their hands dirty while put their trash. When placed in public, it is expected to encourage people to throw their trash in the trash bin and keep them from littering. This system consists of two parts: the prototype of the automatic trash bin based on Arduino and message reminder that allows the owner as the trash bin manager to know whenever the trash bin is full. The automatic trash bin will keep reminding the owner as long as there is sufficient internet connection nearby. |
