dc.description.abstract Pulpindustriesaretoprocessrawwoodtobepaperoranypulpinquiries.Thereisa lot process required such as wood material preparation, wood cutting, wood mashing, mixing, bleaching, and others. Wood cutting process are divided into some batch with differenttypeofcuttingresultandthepointistomakesureeverybatchcuttingresultisgood andsuitabletotheappliedprocessstandard.Thisistolessentheburdenforthemachineof nextprocessandbetterwoodgrainquality.Therefore,thetoolforcutting(blade)mustbe analyzedforitspurpose.BasedondatabyPTTobaPulpIndustry,thisthesiswilldiscusson several problems of blade used to cut wood, there are: power required, impact force, corrosionanalysis,andthesolutionoftheseproblems.Theproblemisthebladehavebeen frequently cracked. The reason behind this crack is not due to corrosion, but due to mechanicalimpactfromcuttingwood.Thegreatertheimpactangle,thegreatertheimpact force,thelesscuttingpowerasitcutsmallerpieceonsmallercuttingarea.Minimumforce producedbyblade/discchipperis59.93kNoncuttingpinediameter100cm.Recommended angle for cutting is20°-30° en_US
